Author of Gender Selection Book Featured on NBC's "Today" Show
Jennifer Merrill Thompson, author of "Chasing the Gender Dream," will appear this week on NBC's "Today" show to discuss baby gender selection.
SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) July 11, 2005 -- High-tech gender selection for
preselecting the sex of a baby is a hot topic. This week, the "Today" show is
doing a feature story on this issue, and author/parent Jennifer Merrill Thompson
will be included in the segment.
With the help of modern strides in
reproductive technology, couples can now preselect the gender of their future
baby. Thompson's book "Chasing the Gender Dream" tells how. Look for her
appearance later this week on NBC's "Today" (airing daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
EDT).
Thompson, a former newspaper writer/editor, was a mom of two boys
who hoped to add a daughter to the family. After much research into gender
selection, and then some attempts with MicroSort, the new sex selection
technology, she and her husband welcomed their daughter. Soon after, she decided
to write about her experiences and about the latest news in this area of
reproductive technology.
"Chasing the Gender Dream: The Complete Guide to
Conceiving Pink or Blue With the Latest Sex Selection Technology and Tips From
Someone Who Has Been There" is the first published account of what it’s like to
undergo MicroSort and all that it entails. Couples can gain firsthand knowledge
from the book, published in 2004 by Aventine Press. The book also relates
others’ experiences with sex selection and “family balancing.”
