SCA Publication Papers Goes Live With Real-Time Costing
EPS announces that SCA Ortviken has gone live with Real-Time Costing at the Ortviken paper mill in Sweden

has gone live with EPS’ Real-Time Costing at the Ortviken paper mill in Sweden.
The project has been delivered with support from TietoEnator. After a short,
three month implementation, two paper machines were successfully brought
on-line. Subsequently, EPS’ flexible, turn-key solution has been implemented on
one additional paper machine by SCA, without EPS assistance.
Real-Time
Costing is a module of EPS’ comprehensive, turn-key Cost Management Suite. With
Real-Time Costing, paper machine operators and production managers receive
immediate feedback on how their decisions impact the cost of production.
Benefits of the Real-Time Costing include: savings in raw material and energy
cost, identification of unprofitable products, ensuring consistent quality, and
the detection of previously unidentified costs.
