Overlap Welding Tool Features Motorized, Hand-Steered Drive
An overlap welding tool for flexible thermoplastic materials.
(PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- A new semi-automatic overlap welding tool for
all flexible thermoplastic materials that provides more consistent welds and
faster operating speeds is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air Systems of
Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Malcom's Leister TriacDrive Overlap Welding
Tool features a motorized hand-steered drive with knurled steel roller that
allows constant nozzle position and speed to assure a consistent seam wels at
speeds up to 10 FPM, depending upon the material and application. Suitable for
virtually all flexible thermoplastics, it uses the Triac S hot air tool which
provides adjustable temperatures from 70 degrees F to 1,400 degrees F and air
speed control to 8 CFM.
Designed for vertical and horizontal use,
Malcom's Leister TriacDrive Overlap Welding Tool can perform the same types of
welds as concentional large overlap welding machines and weighs only 8lbs.
complete. The drive unit by itself is just 5lbs. and accepts any Leister Triac
Series Tool. Ideal for seam-welding roofing membranes, taprs, liners and
banners, it eliminates the need for a separate heat gun and hand
roller.
