IHRDC Announces 16 New e-Learning Certificate Programs in Oil and Gas Technology
Boston-based International Human Resources Development Corporation (IHRDC) announced today that it has released 16 new Certificate Programs through its IHRDC Online e-Learning platform. Each new program carries between two and three graduate credits.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- These new programs offer flexible,
focused learning in six different areas of Exploration and Production
Technology: Petroleum Reservoir Management; Reservoir Description and Modeling;
Formation Evaluation Methods; Applied Petrophysics; Drilling Engineering and
Operations; and Production Engineering and Operations.
“We developed
these new programs in order to serve the needs of busy energy professionals who
are seeking advanced training that is affordable, flexible and within reach,”
explained Theresa Donohue, Manager of IHRDC Online.
As with IHRDC
Online’s five-credit Certificate Programs, they may be taken as “stand-alone”
offerings or as part of a post-graduate diploma in Upstream Petroleum
Management. Up to 15 credits may be applied for transfer to the On-Line Master
of Engineering in Oil and Gas Engineering Management degree offered by the World
Campus of The Pennsylvania State University.
With the release of the
latest programs, professionals may now earn Certificates in the following areas:
Reservoir Rock and Fluid Properties, Reservoir Performance, Reservoir
Characterization, Well Test Planning and Development, Open Hole Logging Methods,
Well Log Interpretation, Subsurface Mapping, Reservoir Simulation, Improved
Recovery Methods, Reservoir Management of Mature Fields, Well Planning and
Design, Drilling Operations, Well Completion and Workover Operations, Producing
Well Performance, Well Stimulation and Sand Control, and Surface Production
Operations. Full details for each program are listed at www.ihrdconline.com.
Ken Ogle, IHRDC’s Senior Mentor

make IHRDC Online more accessible, but they allow us to work more closely with
learners in addressing their specific training needs.”
For learners who desire more comprehensive programs, IHRDC Online
continues to offer its five-credit graduate programs in Formation Evaluation,
Reservoir Engineering Practices, Drilling & Well Completion Practices and
Production & Operating Practices. Programs in Upstream Petroleum Technology
are also available for non-technical personnel.
