Beasley Enterprises, Carolinas’ ALS Association Chapter Produce Significant Returns
Beasley Enterprises and its subsidiary Eastern Fuels directed a yearlong campaign to help support the Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter of The ALS Association. The company's staff worked selflessly to raise awareness and funding needed to help search for a cure for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) June 7, 2005 -- For the past year, Beasley Enterprises
has generously contributed to the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of The ALS
Association (ALSA) through several campaigns and fundraising events. Beasley
Enterprises and its subsidiaries, Eastern Fuels and Red Apple Markets, partnered
with the Carolinas’ Chapter of The ALS Association to generate valuable
financial support and awareness for the non-profit organization.
The Jim
“Catfish” Hunter Chapter, which serves the Carolinas, received over $15,000 in
donations from fundraisers held by Beasley Enterprises. Eastern Fuels led
several events in Edenton, Belhaven, and Plymouth, North Carolina, and the Red
Apple Markets group, raised funds all over the north east of our state to raise
awareness and funding that will be used to aid research efforts, medical
equipment, patient support and other Chapter needs. Both companies also
coordinated a yearlong Paper Baseball Campaign to “Strike Out ALS.” The campaign
received tremendous cooperation from all employees, and residents throughout the
northeastern region of the state.
"We are very fortunate to have the
support of Beasley Enterprises' dedicated employees and loyal customers,” said
Jerry Dawson, Executive Director of the Chapter. “Our Chapter and its patients
are so pleased with the outcome of this partnership. Not only was it educational
and fun, we were fortunate to raise considerable funds for patient support
programs and research."
Adam Coleman, Vice-President and Chief Operating
Officer of Beasley Enterprises, credits the joint effort of the company’s
employees and its customers. “Beasley Enterprises and all of our fine employees
and customers contributed their time, effort and donations to a great cause.
They are the ones who made this campaign such a success,” Coleman added.
