ZimmComm Blog is AgWired

ZimmComm, a marketing & communications firm, now publishes the first blog focused on agribusiness, called AgWired (www.agwired.com). AgWired contains daily news, pictures and audio of the agribusiness industry along with many links.

Holts Summit, MO (PRWEB) June 17, 2005 -- ZimmComm Marketing and Communications recently unveiled the first blog (web log) exclusively focused on the agribusiness world. AgWired, at www.agwired.com, features 5-10 posts a day on topics of interest to agribusiness professionals – from the latest news and event coverage to information about new communications tools and technology, and much more. The blog includes pictures, audio files and commentary, as well as company and agency news and links to hundreds of other sites.

“Blogging has a great deal of potential as a communications tool for us and our clients,” said ZimmComm president Chuck Zimmerman. “It allows you to distribute personal and almost instantaneous information, to virtually the entire world.”

Zimmerman has already taken his blog on the road to bring events right to the computers of people who can’t be there in person. Recently, he covered the first demonstration trial of an ethanol-powered Indy car at the Indy 500 for the ethanol industry. He has also “blogged” a number of agricultural meetings, including the National Agri-Marketing Association, the National Cattlemen’s Association and the Commodity Classic. In August, AgWired will be blogging from the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists meeting in Thun, Switzerland.

AgWired also features a weekly podcast, an audio interview on some topic of interest that can be downloaded to a digital audio player, like an I-pod, for later listening. The program is called the “ZimmCast”. The interview can also be downloaded for listening on the computer.

“We are excited about these new technologies and what they mean for marketing,” said Zimmerman. “The internet offers all kinds of new ways to get information to people quickly and easily.”

ZimmComm is offering consulting services on how to use blogging and podcasting in any business, as well as setting up and starting blogs and podcasts. “AgWired focuses on agribusiness communications because that is the industry we know best, but blogging and podcasting can be utilized by virtually any company, agency, organization or individual.”

ZimmComm was started by Chuck and Cindy Zimmerman in 2004 and offers a variety of marketing and communications services. The company is located in Holts Summit, MO.
